Why Join ?

'Early Warning' and Lobbying

The Federation lobbies on behalf of our members in both the UK and EC Parliaments, to fend off unnecessary legislation which could reduce the profitability of the industry. As a member you would be kept informed and receive early warnings of any impending change which would affect working practices and subsequently your bottom line.

Reach the Top Decision Makers
The Bulletin is the monthly publication of the Federation with a readership in excess of 2,000top executives. It is an ideal vehicle for members to communicate to all sectors of the industry and to be aware of new developments in new products and people in the area.

Annual Luncheon & Gala Dinner Dance - Meet the Top Decision Makers

The Annual Luncheon gathers together 1,100 key industry figures the majority of which are senior food buyers.
Annual Awards for New Products - Rewarding Member's Innovation
The Gala Dinner Dance which attracts 720 members and their customers incorporates the Federation's prestigious Annual Awards for New Products which recognises and rewards innovation. It provides a major PR platform in both the national and trade press, and generates sales opportunities for participating members.

The Frozen Food Information Service (FFIS)
The British Frozen Food Federation has been the driving force behind setting up the FFIS. The FFIS is a highly professional PR service dedicated to the promotion of frozen foods.

Frozen Foods at IFE'
The Federation organises one of the "big three" Frozen Food Exhibitions in Europe "Frozen Foods at IFE". It generates a multitude of new business contacts for the Federation's exhibiting members.

International Trading Group
To help those members who are involved in exporting or those wishing to do so, the Federation provides information specifically related to cross-border trading and is generating a group (now 70 strong) with a specific emphasis on services in this area.

Technical and Legislative - Hot Line Facility
The Federation provides legal, technical, and commercial advice on a 'one-off' tailored basis to individual members. We react promptly and offer a confidential service to each member. The advice is usually conducted over the telephone followed by written confirmation. Members report savings running into thousands of pounds by using our 'hot-line' facility.

The Federation also publishes regular circulars reporting on the latest legal and technical developments affecting the frozen food industry. Members find these publications a cost-effective way to be kept informed of a wide range of the developments in the frozen food industry, and to publicise their own company developments via press releases to the Bulletin.

Sales & Service Promotion
The Bulletin provides an excellent avenue for you to reach a wide audience of potential clients within the British frozen food industry. The publication is circulated to all the major retail, catering and private label buyers, as well as further processing and institutional buyers.

New Members Profile
Each new member benefits from a New Members Profile in the Bulletin. This ensures that the industry is aware of your company, your commitment to the Federation and the frozen food industry. The Profile is published free of charge, therefore new members recuperate nearly half of their membership fee, in the first year.

Arbitration Service
We also offer an arbitration service to members who are unable to resolve a trade dispute, but who do not wish to undertake legal recourse.
